ICE

The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has the power to detain an inadmissible or deportable alien and remove/deport the alien if such determination has been made.

When an individual has been given a Notice to Appear, often they are required to appear before an ICE officer at their regional headquarters at designated times.  Further, after an individual has been ordered deported, they are required to appear before an ICE officer.  To provide assistance, we accompany individuals to their scheduled appointments in order to  communicate to ICE the progress of a particular Court process.  If required, we also visit detained individuals in the following detention centers: Suffolk County House of Correct at South Bay, Suffolk County Jail at Nashua Street, Plymouth County Correctional Facility, and Bristol County Correctional Facility.
